Our history
Pegasus Performing Arts was founded by the husband and wife team of Wayne
West and Fabienne Le Panse in 1992. It began as an amateur production company,
and enjoyed early success touring the island of Montreal with fairy tale
productions for very young children.
After sold out productions of "Beauty and the Beast" ; "Aladdin"
; and "Sleeping Beauty"; they had gained the interest needed - and opened their
school in the fall of 1993. Now each year, over 250 students participate in
Annual and Summer Camp programs held by Pegasus.
For 8 years I took part in Pegasus plays, and it was some of the most
fun I've ever experienced. I was first put into this Montreal theatre
school when my 5th grade teacher recommended it to my parents. Being the class clown at the time. The friendships I had made there were strong, and some are still going, it was the same familiar class mates that really made
Pegasus feel like a second home. I would strongly suggest this program for any one looking to go into theatre, especially since the director will pretty much become like a close friend, like he did for me.
